This position is located in the Office of Administration for the Centre Region Council of Governments (COG). The Centre Region Council of Governments is a local government organization with a service area that includes State College Borough; College, Ferguson, Patton, Harris, Halfmoon, and Benner Townships, as well as Penn State University.

The Office of Administration supports the Regional Fire Protection Program, the Planning Agency (including the Centre County Metropolitan Planning Organization and Regional Refuse programs), Centre Region Parks and Recreation, Schlow Centre Region Library, Centre Region Code Administration, as well of the Office of Emergency Management.

The primary duties/responsibilities of this position include:

*Processing of account payable invoices, cash receipts, accounts receivable transactions
*Compiling, organizing, and performing a reconciliation of credit card transactions
*Assisting the Finance Administrator in tax reporting
*Organizing the records of the Finance Office, especially the financial documentation related to accounting transactions

Requirements for this position include:

*An Associate's Degree with coursework in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance
*Previous experience with computerized accounting systems is preferred
*Knowledge of fund based accounting is a plus
