Job Description/Requirements
The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119 bed, inpatient behavioral health hospital located in Centre Hall, PA. The Meadows team provides comprehensive services and care to children, adolescents, adults and older adults.
The Meadows team is seeking to add talent to our fantastic Food Services team in the position of Dietary Aide. As a Dietary Aide you will work within our cafeteria to serve meals to both patients and staff.
Dietary Aides assist with portioning food; preparing and re-stocking the fresh bar items; packaging meals for patients unable to come to cafeteria; following in infection control and food safety guidelines and procedures; restocking of condiments, paper products, drink stations, and related both within the cafeteria and patient unit kitchenette areas. Opportunities for cross training to other departmental functions exist.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma; related certification or post-secondary education is a plus.
-Excellent attention to detail
-Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
-Understanding of basic food measurements
-Ability to stand for several hours at a time
-Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
-Reliable and dependable attendance to work profile
-Genuine enjoyment of food services related work
-ServSafe Certification is a plus
-Ability & willingness to work rotating weekend and holiday shifts
-Available to be scheduled for work between hours of 6:30am and 7pm.

Full Time Dietary Aide team members are eligible for our outstanding and highly competitive health benefits program and generous paid time off program. We also will pay for team members to obtain ServSafe Certification.
Per Diem positions are scheduled as needed with flexible scheduling options.
