Job Description/Requirements

The Moshannon Valley YMCA is currently accepting applications for a part-time Drum Instructor to lead and coordinate individual or group music lessons for youth and adults. Instructors will schedule lessons on a weekly basis during days/times that suit participants.

Primary Responsibilities

-Plan and lead music lessons.
-Set up and monitor class equipment, ensuring it is in serviceable condition.
-Track progress and maintain participant files as needed.
-Distribute appropriate information to participants and answer questions after each session; follow-up communication as required.

Qualifications

-High School Diploma
-Extensive knowledge of the musical instrument that lessons are being provided for.
-Ability to teach and instruct participants using appropriate music-related teaching methods – prior experience giving lessons is helpful.

Salary/Benefits

-$20.00 per hour.
-403(b) retirement program.
