Job Description/Requirements

Stahl Sheaffer is currently seeking to hire multiple Designers to join our Site and Energy Team in our Clearfield, State College, or Canonsburg, Pennsylvania or Morgantown, West Virginia office locations. This individual will primarily focus on energy or land development projects, depending on the individual’s skillset and career goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist the project team in the development and design of site and/or energy projects which consist of the plans,
technical specifications, and regulatory deliverables
• Develop feasible design alternatives and compare significant parameters
• Review design details and coordinate technical recommendations
• Assess the cost‐effective constructability of the project and generally evaluate the quality of the project
• Provide day‐to‐day technical support, guidance, and input
• Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, studies, permits, and designs for various projects
• Instruct CADD technicians to reduce designs to working drawings

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Up to 5 years of experience with engineering projects relating to land development, stormwater, and
transportation designs and development of bid packages for project advertisement into construction
• A highly organized approach to tasks and a high level of initiative
• Working knowledge of site civil engineering, environmental and municipal regulations, drainage, stormwater
management, and E&S control as they relate to design
• Proficient working knowledge of CADD programs especially Autodesk Civil 3D
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills with co-workers and clients

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Engineer-in Training (EIT)
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• The ability to obtain state and federal background clearances to permit working on-site when necessary
• A valid driver’s license and daily access to a motor vehicle
