Job Description/Requirements

We seek candidates who embrace Quaker education practices, who love working with young children, and who possess the desire and initiative for continuing professional growth and development. This is a part-time position working up to 34 hours per week with children 3-5 years in age.

Qualifications:
• Prior Pre-K experience
• Backgrounds in either Spanish or ESL teaching/tutoring preferred
• An education background that supports working with Pre-K children
• Updated State and Federal Clearances

Duties:
• Supporting lead teachers with all classroom processes
• Teaching lessons and working with small groups of children
• Maintaining specific curriculum areas and safety requirements for all environments
• Assist in the supervision of children at all times
• Assist the children in transitions to and from school rooms
• Help with setting up and closing classrooms
• Assisting in cleaning room areas, especially after snacks and meals

Participation expectations:
• August and June faculty in-service days
• Attendance at regularly scheduled faculty meetings
• Attendance at the school’s Open House and Back to School Nights
• Joining in parent-teacher conferences
• Attending the end-of-year camping trip
